Mold Inspection Procedure

Apex Mold Specialist will identify suspected sources of mold spores within designated areas. Our primary goal is to have the customer completely informed and satisfied with the results of our company’s testing and identification procedures. Any and all data will be kept confidential and shared only with designated customer representatives as determined by the integrated management team.

 

Apex Mold Inspection Procedure:

    • Full visual and manual inspection will be performed at your property by certified and experienced technicians.
    • The technician will visually survey the structure’s interior including possible water intrusion points and will photograph possible area of visible mold and moisture in the property which will be documented in a remediation report which can be used for legal or non legal issues.
    • We will perform non-invasive moisture content measurements with a humidity reader device in the air as well as moisture readings on the surfaces.
    • An infra-red (Thermal Imaging) camera device will be used in order to detect elevated levels of moisture behind the drywall, insulation and other building materials.
    • The technician will perform an indoor and an outside air sample which will be send to a lab in order to assess the level of mold spores in the air in the property.
    • Our technician will be equipped to perform a particle count test for immediate results and assessment if necessary.
    • In the event there is visible mold, the technician will take a swab sample which will be send to the lab to check for viability.
    • Within about 24-48 hours, our office will contact you and provide you with a verbal interpretation of the lab results.
    • Our office will provide you with a comprehensive remediation protocol which will include photographs, laboratory findings interpreted in a narrative report; mold genera identified (including those that are potentially toxic); as well as recommendations for remedying any mold colonization.
    • A Clearance certificate will be issued in the event that remediation recommendations are not necessary based on the lab results.
    • At the client’s request, a hard copy of the report will be mailed at no extra charge
    • This inspection cost will be applied towards the remediation cost in the event that mold remediation services are necessary (Excluding New York State).
    • The price for a full mold inspection procedure (Including Lab Results) is $500.00 (inquire regarding possible promotion).
    • Overnight or same day reports are available at an extra cost.
    • Additional samples may be taken at the client’s request for an additional $125 per sample.
